Review by Ben Rainbird; Actor and Games Enthusiast:
”10 Days In Europe is a fast, simple and very well presented travel game for 2 to 4 players. The box recommends it for ages 10 and up, although I’m certain younger children could still enjoy it, as the rules and overall objective are very easy to grasp and it’s not overly competitive. ...I found 10 Days In Europe to be a quick, straightforward card game which still retains some opportunity for strategy. In the setup round, deft tile placement can give you a good lead over your competitors, and later on, when careful selection of useful countries bordering on numerous others can help you out a lot. This would work very well as an educational game for schools and parents teaching geography to children, as the colourful graphics and fast pace of play would help retain their interest. The individual tiles also feature basic facts about the individual countries, including their capital city, its location within the country, and the estimated population. And as I mentioned before, I think children younger than 10 wouldn’t have much trouble understanding how to play. So, a good way to teach map reading, basic geography and spatial awareness, not to mention probability when it comes to drawing new tiles. I should mention, however, that the very smallest countries in Europe, such as Liechtenstein and Monaco are not a part of the game, appearing only as outlines, so this can’t be considered an absolutely definitive map. Presentation is very good indeed. The map is big and durable, mounted on thick board, and the tile racks are wooden with engraved details and painted in the blue and gold colours of the European flag. In summary I think that 10 Days in Europe is a good light-hearted educational game suitable for the whole family. Game play of about 20minutes makes for a quick social interaction and the colourful map draws everyone’s attention to the central premise: an enjoyable journey”.
